Indonesian archaeologist Wayan Swantika claims that a structure discovered in an archaeological complex on the island of Bali, belongs to a ancient hindu temple, which was discovered when workers were digging a drainage basin in eastern Denpasar, the island's capital, and stumbled upon a huge stone.
The team of archaeologists has managed to unearth some 57 meters of structure and it is believed to be the temple base.
The find is still being analyzed, but given the shape and characteristics of the materials used, Swantika believes that it was built between the 13th and 15th centuries, so it would be the oldest temple discovered so far in Bali.
