A team of archaeologists from the city of Bodrum, in the southwest of Mugla Province (Turkey), has discovered an ancient Hellenistic theater that was built in 400 BC.

Dr Derya Sahin from the Department of Archeology at Uludag University said Monday that the 2,500-year-old ancient theater was discovered during excavations in the ancient Greek city of Myndos, located in present-day Bodrum.

The theater belongs to the Hellenistic period and at the moment, it can be said that it is quite large, although the real size will only be known at the end of the Myndos excavations.
